Understanding Your Rights as a Carer
Every day, 12,000 people become unpaid Carers for a loved one — whether that’s a partner, parent, child, friend or neighbour. Yet many don’t see themselves as Carers and are unaware of their legal rights or the support available to them.
This year’s national theme, “Know your rights, use your rights,” is a powerful reminder that all Carers deserve to feel recognised, valued and supported. Whether you care around the clock or balance care alongside work or study, Carers Rights Day is about helping you understand and access the help you’re entitled to — from financial support to health and wellbeing services in Birmingham.
