Have Your Say: Join Designability’s Unfair Index Survey
Designability (a UK charity) is inviting 10,000 disabled people across the UK to share the everyday barriers they face — so we can all design a fairer future.
The survey covers:
- Home life (including managing money)
- Work, learning, and technology
- Getting out and about (public spaces and transport)
- Health and wellbeing
- Social and community life
- Online experiences
Why it matters:
The results will be used to create the UK’s first Unfair Index — highlighting the barriers that are most urgent, harmful, and possible to fix through better design. The Unfair Index will be published later in 2026.
The project has been co-designed with a pan-disability Lived Experience Advisory Panel, so Disabled people’s voices are central throughout.
Who can take part:
Disabled people, neurodiverse people, Unpaid Carers, and parents of Disabled children across the UK.
Thank you payment
As a thank you for your time, you have the option of being entered into a draw for a small thank you payment for each survey you complete. A limited number of participants will be selected at random.
For each survey, there is the offer of:
- £100 voucher for 3 participants
- £50 voucher for 10 participants
- £10 voucher for 20 participants
Successful participants will be contacted by Designability by the end of April.
Closing Date: 9am on Monday 27th April.
