Young Adult Carer Service

Birmingham Carers Hub offers tailored support for Young Adult Carers aged between 18 and 25 years, through YMCA Sutton Coldfield. We will support you to reduce stress and isolation, and to pursue your aspirations, providing free help with:

• Information and advice to support you and your family
• A specialised Statutory Carer’s Assessment to identify what support you might need
• Regular groups and drop-ins
• CV writing, employment opportunities and workshops to improve skills
• Flexible one-to-one meetings with a key worker
• Group workshops
• Wellbeing trips, activities where you can socialise outside of your caring role, meet other Young Adult Carers and gain new experiences.

We will support you as you move from our Young Adult Carer service to our main Birmingham Carers Hub support service when you turn 26 years old.
