Join Us for Carers Rights Day at TouchBase Pears!

We are excited to invite all Carers to this year’s Carers Rights Day at the welcoming and accessible TouchBase Pears in Selly Oak. This special event is designed to empower and support you by providing valuable information about your rights as a Carer, along with practical advice tailored to your unique needs.

🗓️ Date: Wednesday 20th November

🗓️ Time: 10am – 3pm

📍 Location: TouchBase Pears, Selly Oak

What to Expect…

Throughout the day, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in engaging workshops that focus on key aspects of caring, such as:

  • Hospital Discharge Planning
  • Accessing Financial Support
  • Understanding Legal Rights with our partner solicitors, Wildings

We also will be having a FREE vegetarian lunch!

Inspiring Speakers

Our expert speakers will include representatives from Birmingham City Council launching the Carers Strategy, and University Hospitals Birmingham, who will discuss hospital discharge procedures and more! Additionally, partners from the Birmingham Carers Hub will be sharing their knowledge and support services to help you feel more informed and confident in your role.

Connect and Share

In addition to workshops and talks, we’ll offer support sessions where you can connect with other Carers, share experiences, and receive one-on-one advice from local service providers. This is a fantastic opportunity to build your network, discover the help available to you, and ask questions in a friendly and relaxed environment.

All Are Welcome

Whether you’re a new Carer or have been caring for a long time, this event aims to ensure you leave feeling informed, supported, and empowered.

Free tea and coffee will be available throughout the day, making it a pleasant and inviting atmosphere.
