The Birmingham Carers Hub, in partnership with Kissing It Better, has put together a fantastic selection of events for Carers and those they care for. Whether you’re looking for social groups, wellbeing sessions, or expert advice, there’s something for everyone.
Highlights from the February & March Calendar
Wellbeing & Relaxation for Carers
- Yoga & Tai Chi – Sessions at Barefoot Birmingham, including beginner-friendly classes and women-only sessions.
- Weekend Wind-Down Candlelit Yoga – A peaceful way to de-stress.
- Walking Groups – Dementia Carers Support Walking Group in Hall Green and social walks meeting at Communitea Café in Sutton Coldfield.
Support Groups & Drop-Ins
- Dementia Carer Support Groups – Multiple locations including Edgbaston, Northfield, and Perry Barr.
- Carer Info & Advice Drop-Ins – Available weekly at venues like Stirchley Baths, Hawkesley Community Centre, and Shard End.
- Parent Carers of Autistic Children Support Group – Taking place in Kings Heath.
Creative & Social Activities
- Art & Craft Sessions – Including the Adults & Carers Arts and Crafts group in Sutton Coldfield.
- Knit & Natter – Join others for a chat while crafting in a relaxed setting.
- Aston Villa Foundation Dementia Activity Café – Enjoy activities, refreshments, and good company.
