HSF3: Hardship Grant Community Fund
The Hardship Grant Community Fund is now open to eligible citizens. Birmingham City Council has appointed BVSC to manage a local hardship grant scheme. BVSC will be distributing grants of up to £200 to Birmingham households currently facing hardship. The grant’s intended use is for support with food and energy payments. Applications will be accepted until all the funds have been given out – closing on OR before 31st March 2023.
How do I know if I’m eligible?
You will need to be a Birmingham Resident and experiencing hardship, particularly with regard to covering costs linked to food and energy. You must not have received a hardship grant payment since April 2022. Please be aware that you will be expected to provide proof of address and proof of means-tested benefits (if you are in receipt of them) in the case that you are invited to apply.
How do I apply?
To apply, you will be required to complete this form, all applicants will be contacted via email on the outcome of their enquiry and next steps. Only one application for one household is allowed. This grant is not linked to any other council tax rebate or energy rebate payments and will not affect your benefit payments.
