Ask your MP to Support our Campaign to end Carer Poverty
The Carer Poverty Coalition, led by Carers UK with support from over 100 other organisations, is campaigning to raise awareness of the severe impact that the cost-of-living crisis is having on unpaid Carers.
On 22 November 2023, the Chancellor will be announcing his Autumn Statement. This presents an opportunity for the Government to take action to ensure Carers and the people they look after receive the financial support they urgently need.
As a Coalition, we have collectively written an open letter to the Chancellor urging him to act. However, we would also like your support to help raise awareness of our campaign by writing to your local MP to ask them to put pressure on the Government to take urgent action.
Forward Carers (who manages the Birmingham Carers Hub service) has signed this open letter and is part of the Carer Poverty Coalition.
To write to your MP, please enter your details. You will be able to review the template letter and add your own caring experience to it, before sending the email.
