New appointment at Forward Carers

Forward Carers CIC today announces the appointment of Dionne Williams in the role of Managing Director. Dionne has worked for Forward Carers for almost six years as the Programme Manager and has been instrumental in the growth of this Birmingham based not-for-profit organisation. Prior to this position, Dionne was Commissioning and Market Manager of social care services at Birmingham City Council where she scoped, planned and implementing new business systems for the local authority.

Dionne takes on this leadership role at a crucial time for Forward Carers, as it plans to develop and launch more innovative services and products aimed at improving the lives of family-carers at this challenging time.

“Forward Carers is extremely fortunate to have someone of Dionne’s calibre,” said Simon Fenton (CEO, Forward Carers). “Her proven track record and expertise demonstrated working as our Programme Manager in recent years, along with her strong customer focus, will truly enhance our leadership team and I’m delighted to have her working alongside me.”

Dionne said, “I’m very much looking forward to bringing my passion and energy to the role of Managing Director and overseeing the next phase of Forward Carers’ development.”

Forward Carers is a not-for-profit social enterprise that’s been operating since 2015. It works in partnership with many other organisations to improve the lives of informal, unpaid carers.
