£2 Bus Fare Cap 1 Jan to 31 Mar
From 1 January 2023, 130 bus operators will introduce a £2 fare cap on single tickets. The cap will remain in place until 31 March 2023. Whether you are heading to work or into town, from 1 January to 31 March a single bus journey will cost no more than £2 on most routes across England.
Participation in the bus fare cap scheme is voluntary, and some bus operators have chosen not to take part. If your local operator is not included in the list of participating operators, they may have other types of ticket which are suitable for your needs.
