As part of Dementia Action week, we are running a series of workshops across the week to help raise awareness of the support available.

Michelle King from Aston Villa Foundation will explain what the dementia cafe is and how it can benefit the person living with dementia and for those who provide care for them.

The Dementia Activity Café offers people living with dementia an opportunity to engage in activities that are ultimately led by themselves, whilst offering respite for carers and family over a cup of tea or coffee.

They deliver physical activities (games, sport) and mental stimulation (reminiscence, music). They also have access to the 3G pitches for those wanting to play some walking football.

Come along, to find out how you can get involved and understand what happens during the café sessions.

Space will be limited and offered to registered Carers with Birmingham Carers Hub. Book your free place by registering on Eventbrite here.
