Memory difficulties are widely known as a dementia symptom, but did you know that there are lots of other challenges people can face as a result of dementia?

These can range from visual changes, problems with planning and organising, difficulty responding appropriately to social cues or changes to sensations such as taste and touch. These challenges can sometimes mean the person experiences stress and distress, and can often be excluded from social situations or shared experiences.

This session introduces the hidden challenges of dementia, various ways a person may be affected that you may not have had the opportunity to consider before.

The session is for you if you would like to …

  • Know more about different ways in which a person with  dementia can be affected.
  • Spend time with experienced healthcare professionals who will answer your questions in a safe and supportive environment.
  • Meet other people who are taking care of a friend or family member with dementia in a similar situation

Book via Eventbrite or directly with Dementia Carers Count.

To attend these sessions you must be registered with Birmingham Carers Hub.
