Forward Carers Drop-in: Black History Month (“Celebrating the Legacy of Care”)
Our Black History Month drop-in will take place on Tuesday 13th October, with activity centred around the national theme of “Honouring Our Communities” and our Forward Carers sub-theme of “Legacy of Care.”
The event will provide an opportunity to celebrate the contribution of Black Carers and communities, while also providing practical health, wellbeing and Carer support information.
We will provide a selection of relevant information and resources, including information specifically supporting Black and Caribbean communities. This could include services such as the Black Dementia Group, Black and Caribbean mental health support and Admiral Nurses, alongside our wider Carer support information.
There will also be FREE African- and Caribbean-style refreshments available throughout the session.

The event is welcoming and open to all communities, while providing a particular opportunity to highlight culturally relevant support and recognise the experiences and contribution of Black Carers.

Where Carers have other enquiries on the day, we will use the opportunity to discuss the wider support available, including registration, Carer ID Card and any other queries.
