Census 2021 – Information Session for Family Carers hosted by Forward Carers
The Census is here and it’s important that you take part and be counted as a Carer.
The nationwide survey takes place every 10 years and helps decide how services are planned and funded in Birmingham and beyond from doctors’ surgeries to bus routes, along with shaping government policy.
Getting accurate data is important to help millions of pounds to be invested where it needs to go and to ensure the real numbers of Carers in society are reflected. It also helps charities and voluntary organisations support their funding applications.
If you provide unpaid care for a friend or loved one, ticking a box in the census is your first step to getting the support you need and we will explain why in this session.
Census day will be on March 21st and every household is now receiving a letter with online codes allowing them to take part online or to request paper copies.
Alison Brinkworth, a Census Engagement Manager for Birmingham, will also explain the support available to you and your loved ones to do the census including accessibility and language lines and also talk about how taking part in the census and being counted as a Carer will make a difference to you and your community.
Thursday 18 March 4:30 – 5:15pm, to join the online session, click here https://us02web.zoom.us/j/88604103735
You will not be seen or heard during these webinars but you can interact via the chat and poll function if you wish to. We are also hosting a separate question and answer session.
