Have you, a family member or friend, had experience of finding information, support and guidance about Dementia?

We recognise that the time after a dementia diagnosis can be difficult.  It is not always easy to find the information you need to help understand the diagnosis and what may happen in the future.

The Occupational Therapy (OT) team,  who support adults with dementia and other disabilities to carry out essential activities would like to invite you to help in developing more information around support for people with dementia.

The meeting will seek your views about what information can be given to a citizen, their family, carers, etc to support you .  This may range from what support is available, benefit support, carer support groups and dementia charities, etc.

The OT team are looking for a group of citizens, who have had experience of receiving or supporting someone receiving a dementia diagnosis, to work with them to help develop these materials.

If you would like to be involved in this work, please send us short email message, via the link below, telling us why you would like to be involved and what experience you would bring to the workshop by 13th October 2021.

If you have any further questions, please contact Simon or Amanda in the Citizen Involvement team at getinvolved@birmingham.gov.uk  or call us on 0121 464 4133
