ADHD Awareness Month 2023
ADHD Awareness Month runs throughout October and is dedicated to raising acknowledgment and understanding about ADHD which is short for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.
ADHD is a condition that affects people’s behaviour, people with ADHD can seem restless, may have trouble concentrating and may act on impulse. People with ADHD may also have additional problems, such as sleep and anxiety disorders. This awareness month provides a great opportunity to help create a better understanding of this often misunderstood condition.
Last month, we told you about some new support launching to expand our help Carers in Birmingham. One of the successful organisations who applied for funding was Birmingham Resilience Education and Wellbeing Services CIC (BREWS). BREWS Education provides support to those who are diagnosed with ADHD and to those who are awaiting assessment and will offer online support for Parent Carers.
