Wellbeing, Relaxation & Time Out
If you care for someone in the Birmingham area, you may be entitled to free yoga and relaxation sessions.
Caring for your own wellbeing
It is easy to find yourself struggling to maintain your own health and wellbeing if you often prioritise the needs of others. At Birmingham Carers Hub, we want to help you to find a way to balance your caring role alongside maintaining your own wellbeing to avoid burning out.
Our friendly Carer support groups offer you an opportunity to meet other Carers, share experiences (or just listen) and feel connected. Our arts and crafts sessions provide an opportunity to have fun and connect with others, whilst learning new skills or, for a short time, taking your mind off things that might be worrying you.
Relaxation practices like yoga and meditation have proven benefits in reducing stress, improving sleep and increasing energy levels. Our sessions are designed to be suitable for all, whether you’ve practised before or you’re interested in trying something new, everyone is welcome. By learning different ways of looking after yourself, you’ll find the benefits extend to the person that you care for too.
