The Information and Advice service, is available to anyone caring for someone who is elderly, sick, disabled or frail within Birmingham.
Our Information and Advice service is available to anyone caring for someone who is elderly, sick, disabled or frail within Birmingham. Our specialist team can carry out Statutory Carer’s Assessments (if you are caring for an adult living in Birmingham) and provide:
- An information and advice line
- One-to-one support – including around welfare entitlements and using our benefits calculator
- Carer Emergency Response Service – CERS
- Training
- Carer support groups
- Wellbeing activities and short overnight breaks away
- Support when the person you care for is in hospital
- Signposting to other agencies who can offer you additional support
- Online communities through our Facebook page
