DESCRIPTION:ADULT AND CARER CRAFT SESSION. \nPlease note you MUST book by emailing tyler@squarepegactivities.org. Spaces are limited\, you may be turned away without a booking. \nWe have craft activities for adults with disabilities and their carers to enjoy. These sessions are self led. There will be Square Peg Activities staff around but it is up to the carer to engage in activities. \nThis is a social space for people to connect and engage in a safe environment. \nWe have gardens\, youth den\, sensory room and indoor spaces. We are wheelchair accessible. \nPlease note we have kitchens with juice\, tea\, coffee and food on the premises. \nPlease note that Square Peg Activities staff are not trained and not responsible for challenging behaviours and personal care.

DESCRIPTION:We are running a self-led craft session at our facility in Sutton Coldfield. There will be a range of crafts for you to use\, gardens\, youth den and a sensory room. We have wheelchair access. \nThis is a session for adults with disabilities and their carers to connect and meet others in a safe space. This session is self led\, there will be Square Peg staff around but we will not lead the session or teach crafts. This is a social environment to connect with others whilst enjoying activities. \nYou MUST book by emailing tyler@squarepegactivities.org. Spaces are LIMITED. \nWhen booking you MUST let us know the needs of the individual attending. Please be aware that we have kitchens that have tea\, coffee\, juice\, snacks and other food items. \nStaff are not trained to manage challenging behaviours or personal care. Carers must stay on site and engage in activity.

SUMMARY:Parent Carers of Autistic Children Support Group – Sutton Coldfield
DESCRIPTION:Autism West Midlands has received funding from Forward Carers to provide two years of services specialising in support for Parent Carers of autistic children in Birmingham. \nStarting in January 2024\, four support groups for Parent Carers will be available free of charge in different areas of the city (Kings Heath\, Sutton Coldfield\, Handsworth and Northfield). \nThe support groups will enable Parent Carers to benefit from themed group sessions and develop peer support networks. Each session will include specialist autism related topics (based upon the needs of the group) with helpful takeaway resources. \nYou will be able to meet with other parents\, share ideas\, celebrate achievements and offer mutual support.
