A New Way to Collect Your Carer ID Card – Now More Convenient Than Ever
At Forward Carers, we’re always looking for ways to make life easier for Carers. That’s why we’re updating the way you collect your Carer Friendly ID Card, offering more flexibility, accessibility, and a new way to store your card on your phone.
Whether you’ve recently registered for a Carer ID Card or are renewing yours, you can now choose to collect it from one of four drop-in locations across Birmingham, making it easier to pick up from a local location.
Where to Collect Your Carer ID Card
You can collect your Carer ID Card from the following drop-in locations without an appointment:
📍 Age Concern Boldmere
Address: 76-78 Boldmere Road, Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, B73 5TJ
Opening Times:
- Mondays: 9.30am – 12.00pm
- Tuesdays: 10.00am – 12.00pm
📍 Hawkesley Community Centre
Address: 51 Edgewood Road, Kings Norton, Birmingham, B38 9RN
Opening Times:
- Wednesdays: 10.00am – 12.00pm
📍 Moorfield Hall Community Centre
Address: Hartshill Road, Shard End, Birmingham, B34 6QX
Opening Times:
- Fridays: 10.00am – 12.00pm
📍 Touchbase Pears (Selly Oak)
Address: Forward Carers Hub Space, 750 Bristol Road, Selly Oak, Birmingham, B29 6NA
Opening Times:
- 2nd Tuesday of every month between 10am-12pm
- 4th Thursday of every month between 1pm and 3pm

New! Store Your Carer ID Digitally
In addition to your physical ID Card, we’re now offering a simple and accessible way to store your card digitally on your smartphone – so you can always have it with you when needed.
🧾 Option 1: Add to Your Mobile Wallet (Android)
If you use Google Wallet, follow these steps:
- Open the Google Wallet app.
- Tap + Add to Wallet, then select Everything else.
- Take a clear photo of both sides of your Carer ID Card.
- Choose “ID Card” as the type.
- Enter any requested details (e.g. region).
- Tap Save.
You’ll then be able to open your Wallet and tap ‘View pass images’ to show both sides of your ID Card.
📱 Option 2: Save to Your Photo Gallery (All Phones)
Prefer a simpler method? You can:
- Take clear photos of both sides of your Carer ID Card.
- Save them to your phone’s photo gallery.
- Add the images to your Favourites or Starred folder for quick access.
This option is suitable for all smartphones and ideal if you don’t use a wallet app.
