Carer Support

Support Groups

How will I benefit from attending a Support Group?

People join carer support groups for a variety of reasons – to meet new people and share experiences with like-minded people, to get some time out of the house and to take part in activities they enjoy.

We now host events and activities both online and face-to-face. Online groups can benefit Carers who may juggle work, want to save travel time, or find it difficult to leave the person that they care for.

Take a look at our Events Calendar to find out what’s happening in Birmingham. Each Support Group is different, please see the list below of some of the Birmingham Carers Hub partner support groups available, there are many more on our calendar to take a look at…which one will you try?

Online Carers Groups
Some Carer support groups are now online and are usually delivered by Zoom. It can be quite daunting using Zoom for the first time, so we have created a step-by-step guide on how to use Zoom here. If you would like to find out more about the group you are interested in, please feel free to contact the organiser and have a conversation.

Kissing it Better offers a warm space for a coffee and chat online (or if you prefer, you are welcome to join out of vision with your mic off just to listen). You are welcome to join for all or part of the session. This session is for Carers, and those you care for, are both welcome.
When? Every Monday & Friday at 10:30am
