Oscar Birmingham‘s specialist service is for family carers supporting someone, predominantly children and young people living with Sickle Cell Anaemia and Thalassaemia blood disorder, including co-morbidities. This is a city-wide service as part of Birmingham Carers Hub delivery partnership arrangements to support Carers from black and minority ethnic communities so they have better access to services, ensure they have a voice and are heard.
This service will also help carers to:
- Reduce feelings of loneliness
- Increase social participation
- Increase confidence in your role as a Carer
- Create a support network
